We’re just going to assume that everyone sings in the shower—because everyone does. Not only is it therapeutic, it also allows you to practice for that big car concert you’ve got while you’re stuck in traffic. (But don’t sing at a red light because that’s just creepy.)
Singing in the shower is a true art that should be valued, appreciated and nurtured. Be grateful if you have the opportunity to croon loudly because everyone’s living situation doesn’t allow such luxuries. For the lucky ones, here’s a list of songs you absolutely must sing in the shower.
1. “Stronger” – Kelly Clarkson
Anthems like this usually involve a lot of belting, and it’s been scientifically proven that the shower makes belting sound better.
2. “Fight For Love” – The Foreign Exchange
The Foreign Exchange crafted a record that was mellow with just the right amount of oomph appropriate for bathroom gigs.
3. “Tears Dry On Their Own” –Amy Winehouse
If a tear falls in the shower and no on hears it, does it make a sound? The answer is no, so go ahead and cry undetected while you sing along with Amy.
4. “Careless Whisper” – George Michael
The chorus was clearly made for shower singing. Clearly.
5. “Desert Song” – Alice Smith
Here’s to happy bathing! Don’t forget to share your favorite songs to sing in the shower.
