In honor of the final season of Mad Men premiering this Sunday, AMC started it’s Then and Now series detailing the evolution of the show’s most popular characters.
Here’s the Then and Now for my favorite character Peggy Olsen, who went from Don Draper’s “girl” to… Well, I’ll keep that to myself for those of you who are still binge watching the series on Netflix.
You can also check out Then and Now videos for other Mad Men characters, including everyone’s favorite red head Joan Harris, on AMC’s YouTube page.
Have you been waking up early to seize the day? I’ve been waking up at 5:30am during my April Early Rise Challenge and it’s been awesome. (I’m not just saying that because it’s my challenge.)
Here’s some differences I’ve noticed so far:
- I’ve gotten so much done! On the first day of the challenge I exercised, ate breakfast, wrote and got a little Good Morning America in all before I started to get ready for work.
- I’m much more focused throughout the day, even after the lunch-time crash.
- I can actually go to sleep at a decent hour. Because I get up earlier, I have no problem getting to sleep before 11pm (as opposed to my usual after midnight bedtime).
It’s not too late to join the challenge! Keep me updated by leaving a comment or using the hashtag #AprilEarlyRise on Twitter.
What’s better than making your favorite tea? Making your favorite tea and sipping it out of a super cute teacup, of course. Bonus points for preparing your water in a fancy-schmancy teapot, like the stripped Henri Bendel that I’ve got to get my hands on.
Whether you prefer white, green or black tea, I think we can all agree that any kind is better than coffee… Just joking–not trying to start a beverage riot. Happy tea time!
It’s hot. I know I was begging for warm weather last week, but I live in the South and when it warms up down here… It WARMS up.
It already feels like summer, so I figured I celebrate with huge sunglasses and a song that sounds like sunshine. Can’t you just picture yourself in a monokini as Amerie sings this?
When did brunch become the thing? It seems like 2013 was the Year of the Brunch and the trend isn’t going anywhere. Hey, I’m not complaining (who in their right mind would turn down poached eggs and bottomless mimosas at 2pm?), so I couldn’t say no when my friends invited me to their monthly brunch outing last weekend.
It was my first time at Chicken and the Egg and it was definitely memorable. The “modern farmstead fare” on their seasonal brunch menu didn’t disappoint (two words: hashbrown casserole), but it was the interior that really got me. I’m a sucker for the restaurant’s down-home-fancy decor, which perfectly matched the cuisine.
Check out Chicken and the Egg if you’re ever in the Atlanta area.
Did you know early risers are more proactive, are better planners and are more optimistic? Yep, according to several studies, early risers are just better than the rest of us. I’m all about self-improvement, so I’ve started the Early Rise Challenge this month. My goals are to wake up at 5:30am every day (after 7 hours of sleep) and workout, eat breakfast and check some things off of my to do list all before I head to work.
If you’re anything like me (you love to sleep in and press snooze about 10 times before you fall out of bed), then I’d love for you to join me! Leave a comment with your challenge goals or let me know on Twitter using the hashtag #AprilEarlyRise. You’re on your way to forming a habit with many benefits–get excited!
