It’s Women’s History Month, which is a time to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of women. While ladies throughout time have done some amazing things like lead countries, help to bring about social change and umm, give birth to every human being ever created, they’ve also made some awesome music. In celebration of womankind, here is a little playlist to commemorate this important month. Consider it my contribution to the world (hey, I have to make it into the history books somehow).

Well, I’ve been extremely busy lately, which is why I have been slacking. Forgive me, but you know life happens.
- Once again it’s Beyonce Knowles-Carter’s week. I’m slightly annoyed that we have yet to hear or see a single, but The King surprised her French Beyhive with a performance of “Grown Woman.” Go ahead a press play if you haven’t seen it before Sony takes it off the interwebs.
- Blue Ivy’s mother also released a beautiful and sunny H&M commercial featuring a new song titled “Standing on the Sun.” Get into that dark mane…
- Janelle Monae shared a dream collaboration with the often imitated, but never duplicated Erykah Badu. Listen to “Q.U.E.E.N.”, which will appear on Monae’s sophomore LP The Electric Lady.

- Vogue Brazil unveiled the May 2013 cover featuring Naomi Campbell. Minus the hideous wig, Ms. Campbell is giving it to you like it’s the 90’s. Iconic.

Have a great weekend! I’ll be back next week with a brand new episode of Girl Talk.
H&M just released the full ad campaign for “Beyonce as Mrs. Carter in H&M” and King Bey looks amazing as usual. Although Mrs. Carter’s body is to die for and the swimwear looks cute, I really wish she would put her arm down in at least one of the photos. But hey, maybe that’s the look H&M was going for. Check out the pics below.

It’s been an interesting week in pop culture. Let’s just get in to it, shall we?
Beyonce unexpectedly gave life to her Beyhive with a song that seems to be a buzz single for her upcoming album. Listen to Queen Bey talk greasy over the Hit-Boy & Timberland produced “Bow Down/I Been On,” which has Houston written all over it.
Beyonce is ready to take over 2013. Not only is she performing at the Super Bowl, reuniting with Destiny’s Child and releasing new music, she also set the Internet on fire last week with her sexy GQ spread.
Now Mrs. Knowles-Carter will be invading your television screens with a self-directed HBO documentary premiering on Feb. 16. Check out the trailer for “Life Is But a Dream” below.
