Wardrobe: Rompers for Spring

How cute are rompers? Seriously, they’re playful, sexy and perfect for warm weather. (Also, a one piece has to be the most convenient thing ever.) I wasn’t sure what to think when rompers came back on the scene a couple of years ago, but I picked up a floral one from Urban Outfitters in 2009 and I’ve been sold since then.

Spring Rompers

Luckily, for ladies who like to show off their gams, rompers aren’t going anywhere. Try a pastel or neon-colored one this spring. And, of course, anything splashed in flowers will do.

Hit the Beach in One Week

Beach Chair

Whether you’re going on vacay or anxiously awaiting spring break, here’s how to prepare for the ocean waves in seven days flat.

Monday: Get Pumped

Excite yourself by making a playlist of some of the greatest beach tunes along with your personal favorites. (Think Weezer’s “Island In The Sun” and “Pon De Replay” by Rihanna.)

Tuesday: Snag the Perfect Swimwear

Spend Tuesday hunting down a swimsuit that will be a head-turner. This year it’s all about ruffles, (like Victoria’s Secret Carmen Ruffle One-piece, $158) which is a sexy, yet subtle way to show off your beach body.

Wednesday: Accessorize

Now that you’ve got your hands on a fabulous swimsuit, it’s time to find some accessories that won’t overpower it. Try dainty earrings and sunglasses with a fun, vibrant frame.

Thursday: Lose Your Hair

Avoid those unsightly razor bumps by applying Bikini Zone Anti-Bumps Shave Gel ($5.19). If you want to skip shaving all together, opt for a bikini wax from a reputable salon.

Friday: Tan Before You Hit the Beach

Look as if you’ve been soaking up the sun before you even make it to the shore. Grab some self-tanner (like Neutrogena MicroMist Airbrush Sunless Tan, $10.99) for a natural looking glow that will transform you into a golden goddess.

Saturday: Beautify

Treat yourself to a mani and pedi that’s just right for the coast. Go for deep blue colors to mimic the ocean (try Essie Aruba Blue, $8.00) or flirty peach lacquers. Don’t forget your tresses. After shampooing, apply a palm-sized amount of mousse to each side of your towel-dried hair and scrunch from ends to roots to achieve waves of envy. Place a flower behind your ear for some added tropical flavor.

Sunday: Fill Your Bag

Find the perfect-sized tote for all of your seaside needs. Be sure to pack essentials like sunscreen, a large towel, plenty of bottled water, chapstick with SPF, tasty snacks and a great beach read. (Pick up a page-turner like Mary Kay Andrews’ “Savannah Breeze”.)

Now you’re ready to enjoy the beach!

Mother Monster has landed one of the most wanted spots in all of fashion—the cover of Vogue’s September issue. Gaga is serving in a Marc Jacobs gown and blonde fro-ish hair. It works. (Hey, the cover does state that “hair is the new makeup,” so we’ll take it.)

This is what you call a match made in heaven. Everyone’s favorite kid sister Solange has teamed up with Madewell for the brand’s fall 2012 “Mix Well. Madewell” campaign.

Solange is already the face of Rimmel London and Carol’s Daughter, and now she can add another endorsement deal to her resume.
