Beyonce unexpectedly gave life to her Beyhive with a song that seems to be a buzz single for her upcoming album. Listen to Queen Bey talk greasy over the Hit-Boy & Timberland produced “Bow Down/I Been On,” which has Houston written all over it.
After an endless amount of Twitter beefs, colored weaves and live shows, Harlem rapper Azealia Banks has finally released the first single from her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste. Check out the Lil Internet-produced tracked… And its interesting cover art.
Former American Idol contestant and YouTube star Leah LaBelle has just released her new single “Lolita.” The 26-year-old, who managed to capture the attention of both Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri, sings about being a sex kitten over a groovy track (pretty similar to what she cooked up on “Sexify“).
LaBelle is all set to release her debut album this year. If her first two singles are any indication then the LP should be a nice collection of laid-back, Saturday afternoon music. (You know—stuff like this.)
Are you feeling the song?
Yesterday Pitchfork released “So Good At Being In Trouble,” which is the new single from Unknown Mortal Orchestra. The song will appear on the trio’s latest album II. Give it a listen below.
II will be released on Feb. 5, but you can pre-order the LP at Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s website. (While you’re there be sure to check out dates for their upcoming tour, which will take the band to major cities including Tokyo, Atlanta and New York.)

After teasing fans with a dramatic clip, Justin Timberlake has returned to music with his new Timberland-produced track “Suit & Tie.” The song features a verse from Jay-Z and will appear on Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience, which will drop this year.
Timberlake explained the process of making the album in an open letter to his fans:
The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.
Listen to “Suit and Tie” here and tell us what you think!
After hours of beefing on Twitter over a seemingly innocent tweet from Azealia Banks, rapper Angel Haze released a diss record towards her former associate.
Check out “On The Edge” below:
Not to be outdone, Banks just released a response to the record that she claimed Haze actually wrote last year. While Haze said that she did write the track this year (and it only took her 20 minutes), Banks is not persuaded. We don’t know the truth, nor do we care, we just want some good music.
Check out Banks’ “No Problems”:
While beef is an essential part of hip hop, let’s all pray that there’s a day when female rappers will just get along. Haze tweeted that she will release another song at 6 p.m., so that day clearly isn’t here yet.
Azealia Banks gave her fans a New Year’s Eve treat when she dropped “BBD” yesterday. I’m sure the song, which stands for “Bad Bitches Do It,” gave many ladies something to dance to as they put on their makeup and sequined dresses. “BBD” is just a teaser, however, as it will not appear on Banks’ debut album Broke With Expensive Taste, set to be released this year.
